Majority of the colleges in Mumbai have focused on the cultural events.

Royal college has had totally different outlook, it organizes academic events known as Gyan Manthan. The first of its kind in Mumbai University.

The name of the festival reveals its distinct nature.

• Gyan is knowledge and Manthan means to churn.
• In the Puranas, the sea of immortality was churned to gain Amrit. Here, the sea  of   youth, vitality and vigour is churned with  the churning tool of experience and what comes out is pure, undistilled knowledge-  for knowledge is immortal
• Various events are planned and executed by the students.
